Relay for Life

Join us for our 6th year participating in Relay for Life! Each one of us has a friend, family member or coworker that has been affected by cancer. Join us in the fight against this challenging and unpredictable disease.

This event includes a 24-hour relay where participants walk or run throughout the event in addition to a remembrance candle lighting ceremony (known as the "Luminaria"), food served throughout the event, breakfast cooked and served by local firefighters as well as many other fun events throughout the day and night.  The Relay For Life® is about celebration, remembrance, and hope.  By participating, you honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we've lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight it – all right in your community.

Sign-up shifts will be posted closer to the date of the event. The Newport Jaycees will be camping out, and our goal - in addition to fundraising and participation in the community - is to have someone from our team on the track at all times throughout the relay.
